About the Music

The story continues from the first book of a music composer’s and his journey in life finding new meaning and reinventing themselves.

The new relationships formed from the people we meet along our journey, the constant desire to push to new heights in search of hope. The universal experience of self-discovery:

“Since we met”

After the events of the first book, this piece depicts the moment when the music composer’s discovers a new person in his life’s journey who resonates with his soul. The new friendship paved a new meaning in each other’s life.

“Lessons”

This piece represents the first lesson the composer shared with his partner. It was the composer dedicated to help enhance her musical journey.

“I Miss You”

After sometime away, both sides living in different locations created a feeling of wistfulness for each other. This piece is inspired by a song from Fuji Kaze – Masshiro which has a bossa-nova like rhythm as the song played often when the partner was around.

“Till we meet again I & II”

With the time away, plentiful happy and also uncomfortable conversations passed between each other. However, the yearning to meet again lingers despite the ups and downs. Over time, this develops into an affectionate relationship between the composer and the partner.  The 2^nd version of this piece is a simplified version of the original version.

“Story”

This piece depicts our moments, sad and sweet times of our everyday, throughout the ups and downs. The new hopes and things to look forward to, the disappointments, but throughout it all, we were always there for each other as a team and a unit.

“Place where I rest my soul”

This piece is a revisit of the release of my tension and grief from the first book. – A state of mind of a different emotional mood with meditative vibe. Individual interpretation is encouraged.
